Palmeiras returned to work on Sunday morning, only hours after a 4-0 quarter-final win over Capivariano secured their Campeonato Paulista semi-final place.

According to Nosso Palestra, the session was held at the Academia de Futebol.

The tie at Arena Crefisa Barueri on Saturday night (21) brought goals from Vitor Roque, twice, Andreas Pereira and Ramón Sosa. The victory confirmed a 13th straight semi-final, with Palmeiras the only club to reach the penultimate stage every year since 2014 and the only to contest the last six finals.

Players who featured for more than 45 minutes completed recovery and neuroscience work at the recovery and neuroscience centre. The remainder, joined by academy prospects, took part in a technical exercise with two teams on the pitch, and the session lasted one hour 15 minutes.

Felipe Anderson, Jhon Arias, Ramón Sosa and Lucas Evangelista, who came on against Capivariano, trained in full. Forward Paulinho followed a programme in the centre of excellence and also on the grass.

The squad will train again on Monday (23). Their next match is on Wednesday (25) against Fluminense at Arena Crefisa Barueri at 21:30, in the fourth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, and they lead the table on seven points from two wins and one draw.
