Flaco López may be in his final months at Palmeiras, with a post-World Cup stay considered unlikely.

According to Nosso Palestra, the board already consider the possibility of losing the Argentine after the tournament, scheduled for mid-year. He has drawn frequent enquiries and was unsettled by Atlético de Madrid’s approach at the start of 2026.

Palmeiras have indicated to suitors they want around €40 million, including add-ons, to sanction a sale, roughly R$ 245 million at current rates.

If a sale is completed at that price, the view is that the project was well executed, with both sporting and financial return.

In 2022, the club paid about US$ 10 million for 70 percent of his rights. Since then he has played 190 games, scoring 62 goals and providing 16 assists.

Next fixtures: Palmeiras v Capivariano, Paulistão, 21/02, 20:30 Brasília time. Palmeiras v Fluminense, Paulistão, 25/02, 21:30 Brasília time.
