Palmeiras begin a run that will effectively bid farewell to the Allianz Parque name, with a Nubank rebrand due on 4 May after a fan vote closes on 30 April. According to Globo.com, the stadium keeps its current name until then, with supporters choosing between Nubank Parque, Nubank Arena and Parque Nubank.

Before the reveal there are four fixtures, starting with Sporting Cristal at home on Thursday 16 in the Libertadores, then Athletico Paranaense on Sunday 19 in the league, and Jacuipense on Thursday 23 in the Copa do Brasil. The last game under the Allianz Parque banner is against Santos on 2 May.

The club do not plan a formal send-off, as the new deal is between Nubank and stadium operator WTorre, who hold rights until 2044, with Palmeiras assuming sole control in 2045.

At Abel Ferreira’s repeated request, Palmeiras have extra rest and no trips beyond São Paulo state until the end of the month, when they head to Asunción before facing Cerro Porteño in the Libertadores. The sequence includes Sunday’s goalless draw at Corinthians and Red Bull Bragantino away on 26.

The spell is key for reintegrating injured players, with an expectation that Vitor Roque, Paulinho and Jefté could return by late April. Verdão have three more sessions before Sporting Cristal, kick-off 19:00 on Thursday, with Group F’s top spot at stake.
