Palmeiras set for three league matches during Copa do Brasil as Flamengo enjoy free weeks | OneFootball

The Brazilian title race could hinge on contrasting calendars, with Palmeiras juggling three competitions and Flamengo spared domestic cup duties.

According to Nosso Palestra, João Martins said after the 0-0 draw with Grêmio that Palmeiras face 16 fixtures. That tally covers 10 league rounds and knockout ties in the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil, including finals if they go through.

Flamengo’s run features Santos, Fluminense, Bahia, Atlético-MG, Vasco, Grêmio, Athletico-PR, Palmeiras, Coritiba and Chapecoense, with their head to head slated for round 36 at the Nubank Parque.
