Palmeiras have announced the signing of Brazil defender Antonia Silva, who can also operate at full-back.
According to Globo.com, the 32-year-old has agreed a contract until 2028 with an option to extend.
She said the club’s project and ambition convinced her to join. She arrives with high expectations, ready to contribute and aiming to achieve major goals with Palmeiras.
Palmeiras had long held an interest in Antonia, and the deal was completed as she was also keen to return to Brazilian football. She comes back after five years abroad.
Before Real Madrid, she featured for Levante and Madrid CFF in Spain. Her last spell in Brazil was in 2019 with São Paulo, where she was voted best centre-back in the state championship and the Brasileiro Feminino.
A Brazil international since 2017, Antonia has won the Copa América in 2022 and 2025 and claimed silver at the Paris Olympics. She also played at the 2023 World Cup.
