Palmeiras’ single-price ticket plan for next Sunday’s Brasileiro match against Cruzeiro is proving a hit, with more than 17,000 seats already sold for Arena Crefisa Barueri.
According to Globo.com, that already accounts for over half the available allocation at a venue that holds about 31,500, and there is an expectation of a sell-out over the game weekend.
Sales opened on Monday with a flat price, set at R$ 40 for every section, the minimum allowed by competition rules. There will be no ticket sales at the Arena Barueri box office.
The fixture also marks Abel Ferreira’s return to the Brasileiro after a seven-match suspension imposed by the STJD.
Palmeiras lead the national league with 33 points, six ahead of Flamengo, who have a game in hand.
