According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras received a proposal from Al-Ittihad for Luighi in recent days, with discussions near the Saudi deadline on Monday 2, but talks did not progress.

The Saudi club proposed a one-year loan with an option to buy. Palmeiras have placed the forward among players open to negotiation, yet they are seeking a permanent sale and no such bid has arrived.

With the window closing, the expectation is that the young centre-forward will stay at least until mid-year, when another registration period opens.

In January, Palmeiras received three offers from domestic and overseas clubs for Luighi, an academy graduate who has been with the first team since 2024, although the interested sides were not named.

Even so, the football department is assessing conditions and has not ruled out negotiating the player during the current window.

He scored the club’s first goal of the 2026 season against Portuguesa in the Campeonato Paulista opener. He joined the academy in 2016 at under-11, then stepped up to the senior squad in 2024. His senior record stands at 33 appearances, with four goals and one assist.
