Palmeiras taunt Corinthians again after Libertadores quarter-final qualification | OneFootball

Palmeiras renewed their jibes at Corinthians after beating Cerro Porteño to reach the Libertadores quarter-finals.

The club said in a post that they have 150 Libertadores wins while Corinthians have 149 matches, adding that the competition is for pigs.

The rivals have been trading barbs since last week. Palmeiras first mocked the stalled talks to extend Memphis, then after a twist the Dutchman renewed and the black-and-white side hit back.

Palmeiras return on Sunday to defend a three-point lead in the Brasileirão against Vasco da Gama at 16:00, at Nubank Parque.

After targeting Corinthians, Palmeiras also teased Cerro Porteño, joking about the reduced pitch dimensions at Nueva Olla, the Asunción venue of Wednesday’s match.
