Palmeiras ‘to attempt to sign’ Lille centre-back Alexsandro

Palmeiras have shown interest in signing Lille centre-back Alexsandro, a product of Flamengo’s academy, as they plan for 2026.

According to Nosso Palestra, the 26-year-old’s signing is seen as very difficult, with Lille mid-season and not intending to part with the former Flamengo defender.

Alexsandro is under contract in France until June 2028 and is valued at 20 million euros, around R$ 124.6 million, which would require a significant outlay.

Developed by Flamengo, he did not play for the first team and moved to Resende’s under-20s in 2018, then SC Praiense, Amora and Chaves in Portugal, before joining Lille in 2022.

Flamengo, his former club, are focused on facing Corinthians on Sunday at 16:00 Brasília time in the Supercopa do Brasil final.
