Palmeiras will invest R$ 23 million in women’s football in 2026, with part of the budget directed to a dedicated centre of excellence that is close to opening.
According to Globo.com, the two-storey facility in Vinhedo spans 692 sq m and draws on the club’s men’s Academy and visits to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid.
The ground level houses reception, a laundry, two kit rooms and a gym, plus spaces for cryotherapy, hydromassage and physiotherapy. There are also rooms for ultrasound, nutrition, thermography, hydration storage, an infirmary and the club doctor.
Upstairs are four dormitory rooms, a refectory and an auditorium, alongside psychology, TV and games rooms. The football department has eight offices, covering the sporting directorate, performance analysis, first-team and academy supervisors, operations management, social media and staff linked to senior and youth training centres.
The stadium in front of the centre will use Tahoma 31 turf, the same variety used at other 2025 Club World Cup venues, chosen for its resilience in Brazil’s climate and capacity to handle intense training. A later phase provides for new dressing rooms for the senior and under-20 teams.
The works are being funded via the 2025 transfer of Amanda Gutierres to Boston Legacy for a record $1.1 million plus bonuses for 80% of her rights, with the budget listing R$ 5.5 million in revenue. For 2026, R$ 23.4 million is allocated to women’s football expenses, around R$ 18.5 million for team operations and the remainder for construction and equipment.
