Alberto Paloschi, who experienced a similar rise to the top at AC Milan, shared some words of advice for the youngster Francesco Camarda in a recent interview.

Paloschi made his professional debut with the Rossoneri at the age of 17, finding the back of the net against Catania in the Coppa Italia. His debut in the league, however, is the one most people remember as he came off the bench and scored with his first touch after just 17 seconds.

In short, the striker burst onto the scene with the red and black shirt, resulting in rather high expectations at a very young age. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, as transcribed by MilanNews, the now 35-year-old was asked about the rise of the 17-year-old Camarda at Milan.

“A piece of advice for Camarda? I would tell him to live everything lightly and see football for what it is, a game. He must work hard and always remember that dreams can come true,” he stated.

Paloschi still plays football, more specifically for Pro Palazzolo in Serie D, but it’s clear that he failed to live up to the expectations of his early days. Still, 60 goals and 13 assists across 269 Serie A appearances certainly isn’t bad by any means.

Camarda is yet to bag his first goal for Milan’s first team, albeit coming close, and it’s possible that he could be loaned out for next season.
