Panama, USA, Canada begin campaigns at FIFA U-17 World Cup

MIAMI – The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 continues on Wednesday with three Concacaf nations opening their campaigns.
Canada, Panama and the USA will kick off their participation in the Group Stage. Each side is aiming to win the tournament for the first time.
Panama vs. Republic of Ireland
Panama meets Ireland in Group J at Aspire Zone - Pitch 3 in Doha, Qatar.
Panama returns to the tournament for a consecutive occasion and fourth participation overall. The Central Americans will aim to advance past the Group Stage for the second time, and only other since the 2011 edition.
USA vs. Burkina Faso
USA faces Burkina Faso in Group I at Aspire Zone - Pitch 4 in Doha, Qatar.
The United States will make its 19th participation, matched only by Brazil, and seeks to win its first world championship in the category. The USA’s best finish came as fourth place of the 1999 edition.
Canada vs. Uganda
Canada meets Uganda in Group K at Aspire Zone - Pitch 9 in Doha, Qatar.
The Reds will make their ninth overall appearance and third consecutive, the first time the nation accomplishes that feat. Canada will seek to advance past the Group Stage for the first time in its history.
