In the third minute, Tom Louchet missed a gilt-edged chance from Jordan Clauss’s cross. In the 26th minute, Maxime Dupé parried Moses Simon’s shot and Munetsi converted the loose ball.

Trapp then denied Oppong from point-blank range in the 36th minute. At half-time, Kevin Carlos was replaced by Boudache on the right, with Cho moving centrally to add energy.

Dupé saved from Lees-Melou on 53 minutes, Trapp thwarted Clauss on 68 minutes, and the Nice keeper stopped Krasso on 70 minutes. Moustapha Mbow led the back line alongside Coppola and threw himself in to halt Diop on 82 minutes.

Dupé again frustrated Lees-Melou on 87 minutes, but his earlier spill proved costly. Thibault De Smet struggled and was sent off for a second booking at 90+5, while Charles Vanhoutte impressed in recovery for Nice with a rating of six.
