Marseille let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 at Paris FC, with Leonardo Balerdi and Geronimo Rulli again under scrutiny. The pair featured heavily in another costly swing on Saturday in Paris.

Mason Greenwood won and converted an 18th-minute penalty after Mbow handled. L'Équipe’s ratings put Paris FC on a 4.7 average and Marseille on 4.5.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it 2-0 on 53 minutes from Greenwood’s pass. Balerdi then headed against the post on 74 minutes, before Jonathan Ikoné reduced the deficit with a header on 81 from Mbow’s cross.

Amine Gouiri spurned a late chance on 90+1. Rulli then brought down Marshall Munetsi in stoppage time, and Ilan Kebbal equalised from the spot on 90+2.

Greenwood was Marseille’s standout, with a goal and an assist. Captain Balerdi, kept ahead of Pavard, mixed solid defending with poor timing, hit the post, and failed to track Munetsi before the penalty. Rulli’s late error capped another uncertain outing.

For Paris FC, Otavio impressed at the back. Mbow had a torrid evening, conceding the early penalty yet supplying Ikoné’s goal, while Kebbal converted the late leveller won by Munetsi.

Gilli set up with a back five to guard depth, but Marseille often found space out wide, and his changes, notably Munetsi and Ikoné, paid off. Roberto De Zerbi kept his core, bar Pavard returning from suspension, and his side unravelled again after the substitutions.
