Paris FC are considering a move to sign Edin Džeko (39) from Fiorentina, according to a report from L’Équipe. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international forward has emerged as the latest transfer target for the French capital club as they look to bolster their attacking options during the winter transfer window. 

It is one of the worst-kept secrets in French football that the newly-promoted club are seeking to recruit a new striker during the January transfer window. Paris FC have already seen efforts rebuffed for two transfer targets in Ludovic Ajorque and Sidiki Chérif. Despite two failed attempts to sign a forward, the Ligue 1 club remain intent on finding a goal source before the window shuts. 

Džeko struggling in Italy

The former Manchester City striker joined La Viola during the summer transfer window as a free agent. Džeko has made 18 appearances and scored 2 goals since he arrived in Florence, but has yet to find the back of the net for his new club in Serie A. If he is to make the move to Ligue 1, the 39-year-old will be hoping that his fortunes improve.
