Newly promoted Ligue 1 side Paris FC have been making several moves in the transfer market ahead of their return to the top flight for the 2025-2026 season. After being linked with the likes of Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin and Auxerre’s Gaëtan Perrin, Les Parisiens were looking pull-off a flagship signing in advancing talks for Union Saint-Gilloise striker Promise David. Those aren’t the only targets. According to a report from L’Équipe, former Stade Rennais captain and current Real Sociedad defender Hamari Traoré (33) has emerged as one of the capital club’s top targets for this summer transfer window.Traoré is seen by the Arnault / Red Bull hierarchy as a low-cost, high-experience option to help Paris FC build a competitive squad without breaking the bank. The Mali international has one year left on his deal in Spain and could be available for a modest fee.Talks have been ongoing for several days, although details of the negotiations remain undisclosed. Traoré made 13 appearances this season for the Basque outfit, having joined them in 2023 after six strong years at Rennes, where he was a key figure and captain.GFFN | George Boxall
