Chevalier will undergo his medical tests with PSG on Friday, with an official announcement of his signing expected soon.

The 23-year-old will dethrone Gianluigi Donnarumma as the first-choice keeper next season.

The Italian international is facing an uncertain future at Parc des Princes, having entered the final year of his contract.

Donnarumma has been reluctant to accept the renewal offer, prompting PSG to sell him this summer rather than losing him for nothing in 2026.

He is open to pursuing a new challenge and has attracted a host of suitors following a stellar 2024/25 campaign, where he inspired PSG to the treble.

However, no concrete proposals have arrived for the former AC Milan star.

Les Parisiens manager Luis Enrique has guaranteed Chevalier a starting role irrespective of Donnarumma’s future.

The Frenchman will be PSG’s second summer signing after 19-year-old keeper Renato Martin’s move from AS Roma.

Chevalier has established himself as one of the best keepers in Europe after showcasing his extraordinary talent at Lille.

Manchester United and Barcelona showed interest in Chevalier, but PSG have struck gold with his transfer.

He has been nominated for this year’s Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or gala after his impressive performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League last season.

PSG are also on the verge of signing Bournemouth centre-back Illia Zabarnyi in a deal worth €63 million.
