Paris Saint-Germain reclaim top spot as Mendes sparks dominant display

Paris Saint-Germain beat Nice 4-0 in Nice to rise from second to first in Ligue 1.

In the 37th minute Juma Bah cleared off the line to thwart Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Moments later a handball by Morgan Sanson led to a penalty, VAR confirmed the spot kick, and Nuno Mendes converted (42.).

After the restart Mendes wriggled free and squared for Desire Doue to sweep in (49.).

Youssouf Ndayishimiye was sent off after a VAR review for a foul on Lee Kang-in (61.). Yehvann Diouf then denied Doue one-on-one to prevent further damage (63.).

Substitute Dro Fernández added a third from Ousmane Dembélé's touch (81.). It was Fernández's first goal for PSG. Warren Zaïre-Emery walked in a late fourth after Lucas Beraldo's cut-back ricocheted his way (85.).

PSG registered 10 shots on target from 17 attempts and controlled 74.2% possession. Les Aiglons managed one effort on target from six.
