Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco earned a flattering ‘Man of the Match’ award in last night’s Serie A victory over Parma.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Italian star has reached a whole new level under Cristian Chivu.

Federico Dimarco opened the scoring at the Ennio Tardini, slotting home an inch-perfect right-footed effort from an acute angle.

In doing so, the 28-year-old netted his third goal of the season, adding to his ever-growing Serie A tally.

Unlike last season, when he often fell victim to Simone Inzaghi’s rotations, Dimarco has found an all-important consistency under Cristian Chivu.

Indeed, he spent all 90 minutes on the pitch for the tenth time in 18 Serie A rounds.

Much of the credit goes to fitness coach Stefano Rapetti, whom Dimarco hugged immediately after scoring the goal.

Rapetti’s tailored conditioning program has helped the star wingback maintain peak physical levels.

As a result, Dimarco has established himself as the most prolific defender in Europe’s top-five leagues this season.
