Parma have reportedly made their first offer for Troyes central defender Abdoulaye Ndiaye worth €8m, but need a replacement for badly injured Jacob Ondrejka.
The Ducali had already shown an interest in Ndiaye and now Sky Sport Italia claim the formal proposal has been sent.
This was valued by La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttomercatoweb at circa €8m, which they hope will be sufficient to convince Troyes.
The 23-year-old Senegal international spent last season on loan at Stade Brestois and is a product of the Olympique Lyonnais youth academy.

Meanwhile, Parma must also look to strengthen their attack after losing Ondrejka for several months to a serious injury.
The 22-year-old Swede was stretchered off during a pre-season friendly over the weekend and it immediately seemed to be very serious.
X-Rays confirmed a fracture of the fibula in his left leg and he had surgery today in Austria.
The player is expected to be out of action for several months.
