FLW explores Patrick Agyemang's estimated weekly wage at Pride Park and if he will depart Derby County in the summer.

Patrick Agyemang has been a star for Derby County this season, and the USMNT forward has been getting better and better as the weeks have gone by.

The 25-year-old reached the double-digit mark for goals scored in the Championship against Swansea City earlier in February, as he headed home from a Callum Elder corner to secure the Rams a 2-0 victory at Pride Park in what was just their fifth home win of the campaign.

The 6ft 4in striker has been utilised in both central and wide positions by John Eustace in 2025/26, and opposition defenders have found it incredibly difficult to lock the former Charlotte FC man down and his drive and determination makes him a real threat to any side in the division.

However, this form does mean that more and more clubs from the outside will be taking an interest in Agyemang's performances, and Football League World has taken a look at how much he is estimated to be earning at Derby right now and whether there is a chance that he leaves for pastures new in the summer transfer window.

How much Patrick Agyemang is estimated to be earning at Derby County in 2025/26

The East Hartford-born ace has already made quite an impact in DE24 since securing a move to the Championship for an initial £5.8m, and it is clear to see why David Clowes was happy to spend such a significant amount on the player, with that fee potentially rising to £7.3m in the future.

However, despite that lofty transfer fee, according to Capology's calculations, Agyemang is not earning the big bucks that some may expect, with the website estimating his weekly wage to be at the £7,500 mark for the 2025/26 campaign.

They have stated that he could earn a further £1,875 in bonuses, which would take that wage to £9,375. This is much higher than the salary that he was on in the MLS, with the MLSPA reporting that the US international earned $71,401 (£52,873.87) a year with Charlotte.

If his estimated wage at Derby is close to the true figure, then Agyemang's wage has increased by nearly 7.5x since making his way to England from his home nation, and therefore it may not come as a surprise to have seen him make that jump.

How likely Patrick Agyemang is to leave Derby County in the summer transfer window

This is a huge summer for the USA forward with his country co-hosting the World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico, and he will be keen to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino's squad and mark his mark on the international stage.

He was excellent in the group stages of the Gold Cup, and it was those performances that Derby supporters got their first taste of their number seven. However, there may be fears that a repeat could see him leave the Rams in the upcoming transfer window, as it is likely that clubs will take a significant interest in him.

Leeds United and Crystal Palace made approaches for the forward in the January transfer window, as per a report from Football Insider, but they were both rebuffed and the East Midlands outfit placed a £20m price tag on their American hero to try and push others away.

However, if Derby do not win promotion, and Agyemang has a good World Cup, then he may find himself on the way to the Premier League himself. Nonetheless, he does seem settled at Pride Park, and the Rams may refuse to buckle with the player still having over three years left on his contract right now.
