Patrick Videira has extended his Le Mans contract to June 2029, staying on amid interest from Lens and Lorient. He will lead the club into Ligue 1 after back-to-back promotions.
According to L'Équipe, the 49-year-old had been under contract to 2027 and has added two years. He holds the BEPF and took charge in summer 2024.
Pedro Oliveira, co-founder of majority shareholder Outfield, said the club values stability and continuity, and that Videira has proved himself a leader by taking them up.
He added that they are enthusiastic about continuing together, expect a tough season, but believe that with the right people in the right roles they can achieve big things, sharing ambition, humility, hard work and a long-term vision.
After promotion, Videira started planning next season with the hierarchy and visited Coritiba in Brazil, Outfield’s other club, for a brief immersion. Late in May he said he preferred to be cautious about public assurances, stressing he was content at Le Mans and under contract.
With the extension sealed, Le Mans go into 2026-27 with early clarity on a playing identity likely to echo what worked in National then Ligue 2.
