Patrick Videira is expected to sign a new Le Mans contract through 2029 and stay with the promoted side despite discussions with RC Lens.

According to L'Équipe, the 49-year-old, a key figure in Le Mans’ rise to Ligue 1, will continue his tenure at the club.

Backed by its ownership, the club will have additional resources to target survival and press on with recruitment.

The arrival of a sporting director is not ruled out in the coming weeks, with several names discussed and no candidate chosen.

In the meantime, the club are expected to part with Dame Gueye, 30, who is close to being sold to an undisclosed team.
