Pau Lopez signs for FC Andorra in Spain’s second tier after Betis exit

Pau Lopez has joined FC Andorra in Spain’s second tier after leaving Betis.

Betis said on Friday that his contract had been terminated by mutual consent after only one season.

The 31-year-old Spain international, who has two caps, has signed a three-year deal with an option of a fourth. FC Andorra finished 13th in Liga 2 last season.

Lopez kept goal for Marseille from 2021 to 2024, making 127 appearances, and departed the club permanently in 2025.

Since a loan to Girona in August 2024, he has played little, with three games for the Catalan side, 11 for Deportivo Toluca in Mexico and 15 for Betis last season. A few days after moving to Toluca, he agreed a contract with Betis until 2028, returning for a second spell after 2018-2019.
