Paul Pogba has had his ban for a failed drugs test reduced to just 18 months, according to the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old midfielder initially received what could’ve been a career-ending ban of four years as well as a hefty fine in March.

Now, that sentence has reportedly been reduced on appeal by CAS, and Pogba could return to training as soon as January.

“I have today been informed of the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping’s decision and believe the verdict is incorrect,” Pogba wrote on social media at the time. “I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.

“When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but I have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.”

It’s been suggested that Pogba could return to the Juventus side as soon as March 2025.
