According to Globo.com, Paulo Baier has left Monsoon after a 1-1 home draw with Inter-SM in the Gauchão relegation quadrangular. Club and coach have parted company.
Baier delivered only one win in the state championship. The north-coast Rio Grande do Sul club, who play in Porto Alegre, drew five times and lost two across the first phase and the fight against relegation.

Monsoon sit on two points in the quadrangular, ahead only of Guarany de Bagé on one.
Their next match is against Avenida.
No date or kick-off time has been set for the fixture at the Eucaliptos in Santa Cruz do Sul.
