Olympique Lyonnais coach Paulo Fonseca, speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s French Cup match against Stade Lavallois, expressed his satisfaction with the Rhône-based club’s transfer window activity.

In his eyes, the club has therefore done “everything possible” to bolster and strengthen his squad. “We needed a forward, and Roman(Yaremchuk) arrived: he is a player I know and who will be able to help the team. Noah (Nartey) has also joined us; he has already played, and you have seen that he is a quality player. Noham (Kamara) has also arrived in central defence: he is a young player with a promising future,” said Fonseca.

In addition to these players, Fonseca will also be able to count on Endrick, on loan from Real Madrid, who has registered five goal contributions (four goals, one assist) in his first four matches with Les Gones, as they attempt to win the club’s first trophy since 2012.

A successful transfer window in terms of arrivals, but also departures, with several players leaving on permanent transfers (Saël Kumbedi, Teo Barišić) or loans (Martín Satriano, Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez, Enzo Molebe).

Fourth in Ligue 1 and level on points with Olympique de Marseille, OL are also still in contention in the Coupe de France and the Europa League, where Les Rouge et Bleu qualified for the last 16 after finishing top of the league phase table.
