Pavlidis was caught swearing at a Benfica team-mate late on, then laughed it off with an apology after taking three points at San Siro.
Near the final whistle the Greek striker repeatedly asked the Argentine for the ball, but he went on a solo run instead, prompting an immediate expletive from Pavlidis. He later made light of it on Instagram, addressing Gianluca.
“Três pontos em San Siro e agora olhos postos no domingo. PS: o meu português está a evoluir rápido. Desculpa, Gianluca”.
Beyond the joke, the Greek forward is in outstanding form. After early criticism, Pavlidis has become one of Marco Silva’s key men, scoring 14 goals in 13 matches across Liga Portugal and the Europa League.
Prestianni is also enjoying a standout spell and is viewed as one of the in-form players at the start of the season. He can contribute inside, on the left or on the right, with early numbers pointing to the left as his most effective role.
