FC Bayern kicked off the new Bundesliga season with a decisive victory. After the final whistle, Pavlovic spoke to Sky about his team’s convincing performance. The Bayern star particularly highlighted the record champions’ decisiveness.

“We gave it our all from start to finish,” Pavlovic explained. At the same time, the midfielder made an interesting observation about VfB Stuttgart.

“It’s often the case against Stuttgart that they falter a bit in the second half and don’t have as much energy left,” said the 22-year-old. In his view, this pattern was evident once again this time.

„That was the case again today. And we just keep going, don’t stop, and score our goals,“ Pavlovic continued.

Bayern stepped it up after the break

In fact, after the break, the match increasingly turned into a display of Munich’s dominance. After Stuttgart had briefly tied the score at 1–1, Bayern stepped up their game significantly and scored several goals in quick succession.

Pavlovic himself also got on the score sheet. After a strong pass from Saibari, the national team player found himself alone in front of the empty Stuttgart goal and finished to make it 4–1.

“I ran into the box. Isi saw me and made a great assist. And yes, I’m happy about my goal,” Pavlovic explained afterward.

Pavlovic Hopes for a Call from Klopp

For the midfielder, this strong start to the season could also prove important with regard to the national team. After the game, Pavlovic was therefore asked about national team coach Jürgen Klopp.

Has Klopp gotten in touch with him yet? “Not yet, no. But it’s coming. Hopefully,” Pavlovic replied.
