Peck inspires Sheffield United turnaround at Ewood Park | OneFootball

Sheffield United came from behind to beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park, climbing from 15th to ninth in the Championship.

In the 20th minute, Kristi Montgomery rifled in from outside the box to put Blackburn Rovers ahead.

Thomas Cannon levelled from the left side of the box (35.), finishing a pass from Sydie Peck. Peck then struck from distance to turn the game before the break (44.), with Joe Rothwell supplying the assist.

After the restart, Michael Cooper tipped over a rising effort from Todd Cantwell as Blackburn Rovers pushed. The Blades defended stoutly, racking up 28 clearances to see it out.

Chris Wilder freshened the visitors at half time with Tyrese Campbell, later adding Matt Doherty and Kalvin Phillips to shore up the flanks and midfield balance.

Late on, Aynsley Pears saved from Campbell to keep Blackburn Rovers in the contest, but the visitors held firm.

Blackburn Rovers dominated the ball with 62.9% possession and registered 19 attempts. The Blades produced seven attempts, four on target.
