Carlo Ancelotti will name a 26-man Brazil squad at 15:00 Brasília time today, his first since the 2026 World Cup. Flamengo duo Pedro and Samuel Lino are on his provisional list.
According to GE, the pair ‘could be called’ for friendlies against Australia and India, with Ancelotti keen to prioritise lesser-known and younger options. Léo Pereira and Lucas Paquetá are not in the provisional group.
The announcement, staged at the Brazilian Football Confederation headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, will be shown live on CBF TV on YouTube.
The first FIFA window of the 2030 World Cup cycle runs from 21 September to 6 October, marking the start of Brazil’s new preparation phase.
Brazil face Australia on 25 September at Queensland Country Bank in Townsville, then again on 29 September at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
They then play India for the first time on 3 October at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, also known as Salt Lake Stadium, in Kolkata.
The tour broadens Brazil’s presence in emerging markets and is expected to draw strong local interest, though Ancelotti’s focus remains on performance during this window.
