Pedro etched his name into Lazio history with a dramatic late equaliser against Fiorentina, setting a new club record in the process.
The Biancocelesti rescued a point deep into stoppage time when Pedro calmly converted a 95th-minute penalty, sending David De Gea the wrong way. With the pressure at its highest and the ball feeling “heavy”, the Spaniard showed all his experience to keep Lazio alive.

Beyond the importance of the goal itself, Pedro’s strike carried historic significance. At 38 years and 164 days, he became the oldest player ever to score for Lazio, surpassing the previous record held by Miroslav Klose, which had stood since 2016, coincidentally also set in a match against Fiorentina.

The goal was also Pedro’s first of the Serie A campaign, ending a run of 18 league matches without finding the net. While Danilo Cataldi had earlier opened his account against his former club, it was Pedro’s late intervention that stole the headlines after another controversial night of refereeing in a Lazio match.
For Lazio, the equaliser delivered a vital point. For Pedro, it marked another milestone in a career defined by decisive moments, and proved that age has not dulled his composure when it matters most.
