Pedro Proença presents five-star certification to FC Porto academy | OneFootball

Pedro Proença, president of the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol, has presented five-star certification to FC Porto’s academy at the Teatro Municipal de Vila do Conde.

According to O Jogo, plaques and diplomas were also handed to 258 Associação de Futebol do Porto training entities that completed certification for 2024/25.

Proença characterised FC Porto as a benchmark at home and abroad, describing the status as a natural recognition of sustained work in player development, investment in infrastructure and overall capacity.

He added that this progress is visible across Portuguese football, and said the Associação de Futebol do Porto carries out that work as well as anyone.

AF Porto president José Neves said FC Porto acts as a major lever for the district, highlighting the introduction of women’s football and futsal as filling a gap for the city and the association by having its affiliate and founder engaged in these areas.
