Corinthians lost 2-1 to Cruzeiro at Neo Química Arena on Sunday, but Pedro Raul registered his fourth successive start, his longest run since joining the club in February 2024.

According to Meu Timao, this sequence surpasses two separate three-game spells he managed earlier in the year.

The first came in February at the start of his stint, when he started against Novorizontino, Santos and Portuguesa in the Paulistão.

The second followed between March and April, versus São Bernardo in the Copa do Brasil, Londrina in a friendly, and Uruguay’s Racing in the Copa Sudamericana.

Wearing 18, he has led the line in the last four outings while Yuri Alberto recovers from a grade two injury to the back of his right thigh. He scored twice across the first two, against Internacional in the Copa do Brasil and Red Bull Bragantino in the Brasileirão.

This season he has two goals and two assists in 30 appearances, starting eight times.

He took a rib knock in Thursday’s Libertadores last 16 first leg against Rosario Central, becoming a doubt for Cruzeiro. He recovered to play 70 minutes, then was replaced by Gui Negão.

Corinthians host Rosario Central on Thursday in the return leg at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 21:30. Fernando Diniz is again not expected to have Yuri Alberto available, which could allow Pedro Raul to extend his starting run.
