Pedro Raul scored for the second game running as Corinthians beat Red Bull Bragantino 2-0 in the Brasileiro.

According to Meu Timao, the forward had been used sparingly this season but gained opportunities after Yuri Alberto’s injury late in July.

He came on against Internacional in the Copa do Brasil first leg, replacing Gui Negão on 28 minutes of the second half, but struggled to impress. He then started the return last Thursday and scored, his first for Corinthians since January 2025.

On Sunday he converted a Matheuzinho cross to extend the lead on 43 minutes of the second half, sealing the 2-0 result. It was his first scoring streak for Corinthians.

It marks his best run since late 2025 when, on loan at Ceará, he scored in a 2-0 win over Fluminense on the second of November and equalised in the clássico with Fortaleza on the sixth.

Earlier in 2025 with Ceará he hit nine goals in 10 matches, then scored in back-to-back games in June against Botafogo and Sampaio Corrêa.

The win lifted Corinthians to seventh in the league on 32 points. Next up is Rosario Central in Argentina in the Libertadores last 16 first leg on Thursday at 21h30.
