Maurizio Sarri is looking to get back into work as a head coach and while Roma were never an option, it seems he is holding out for a job like AC Milan.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, there have been enquiries from clubs abroad for Sarri in recent days and some are quite far afield, but at the moment they do not seem to be warming the appetite of the Italian that much.

During the summer he said no to Panathinaikos among other clubs and his priority remains to wait for a side in Serie A, keeping a close eye on developments at Milan given that Paulo Fonseca is under pressure.

Sarri’s name had been linked to Roma, without there being the slightest foundation or contact as they have gone for Ivan Juric. Sarri will calmly evaluate proposals far from Italy, Milan could be an intriguing project for him considering that he knows or has coached at least three or four Rossoneri players.

Fonseca will have the derby to try to get back on his feet, we will only see any developments from Sunday evening onwards. Sarri is studying football, ready to start again and he would like to do it as soon as possible, ideally in Serie A before evaluating other options.
