The Giallorossi number 7 has had the opportunity to finally overcome the effects of his injury and improve his fitness during the break.

The Giallorossi midfielder will be an important piece in the Grugliasco coach’s team, often competing for a starting spot with Mora and Soulé.

Dybala and Malen, when fit, are guaranteed a spot in attack. For Sunday’s match away to Como, the race for the third-choice attacking spot has already begun.

In recent matches, Soulé has been the player who has played alongside La Joya behind the Dutch striker. In this case, his commitments with Argentina could push him down the pecking order ahead of the trip to Sinigaglia.

Soulé won’t be available to Gasperini until Thursday, 72 hours before the Como-Roma match.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, the Grugliasco-born coach could therefore opt to use the 2003-born midfielder during the match, thus leaving the attacking midfield to Pellegrini and Mora. The Giallorossi number 7 will begin his third week of training tomorrow at Trigoria alongside the former Atalanta coach, who has been able to assess his fitness.

Pellegrini hasn’t played a competitive match since April 10th and is the only outfield player in the Roman squad yet to make his debut this season. Mora, on the other hand, is playing for Portugal’s Under-21 team, where he recently scored an overhead kick.

Tomorrow, the 2007-born midfielder will play against the Czech Republic, so he’ll return to Trigoria on Wednesday.

Whatever happens, both players will find their place from now on in Roma’s schedule, which will see them play every three days. But in the meantime the challenge has been launched for Como: one shirt each between Pellegrini and Mora.
