The Liverpool has also been asked about the quick turnaround from Gala to Brighton ...

"Can the PL make it easier on the schedule? It is so difficult, so many things they have to be aware of. Television, we are a popular team, TV want to broadcast us, they told us what they need to do and every season gets complicated every season with more teams in Europe. A 12.30KO after a Weds game and playing on Sunday, it is already difficult.

"When we come back PSG, Fulham, PSG again, that is far from ideal. But we also have to accept this because we want this programme, it is what we want but if you want the best outcome, players in the best form, best shape then 1230KO is not ideal, Sunday would be better. TV have chosen..."

Slot has been asked about his contract at Liverpool ...

"Is this how football works? We win one and talk about a new contract?! We didn't win just one by the way, we won more than everyone thinks last few months. You surprise me with this question, my focus is on Brighton and before then it was getting something positive from this season. We have to fight in this season until the end, my focus is totally on that. We don't talk about contracts here."

Here's Tuchel on why he's decided to pick 35 players for the upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan ...

More from Slot, this time on Brighton and their style of play ...

"Styles make fights and that is everything I should say. We faced a Gala team that maybe tried to kill momentum but wanted to press and bring the ball out, they wanted to fight with us. I said it 150 times, it will never be about us if a game is not entertaining. Every team that wants to fight, we gave them a fight and a great game.

"But if we want to fight a team who only want to cover up then it is less atttractive, that is all I can say. We faced a Gala team who are used to being the better team in their league, you cannot compare with that most of the teams we faced this season.

"We now face an attractive and interesting style v Brighton, which makes it complicated. We put in an enormous shift, so tell me what is smart? Frimpong, for example, made so many sprints this season, when games come fast he has got injured [in the past]. Joe being out, so you can already understand which questions we have to answer. Brighton has always been a team who want to play, make it intense, they have seen how intense our game was. We have played them twice, both were fascinating, high tempo, high pace."
