Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have been boosted by the return of Savinho to first-team training at the City Football Academy.

The 20-year-old has impressed for Manchester City during the opening month of the new campaign, having completed an initial £21 million move to the Etihad Stadium from sister-club ES Troyes.

Savinho, who has previously spent time on loan at the Estadi Montilivi in Catalonia with Girona, made his Manchester City debut at Wembley Stadium during the FA Community Shield win over local rivals Manchester United.

The Brazilian made his first start for Pep Guardiola’s side during a 0-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but was forced off at half-time in west London due to a suspected knee injury.

Savinho returned for the 4-1 win over Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium the week later however, winning a penalty for the Sky Blues, and assisting Kevin De Bruyne’s goal during an eventful first-half.

The forward missed the trip to West Ham due to injury prior to the international break though, as Manchester City continued their winning start to the season with a 1-3 win, courtesy of another Erling Haaland hat-trick.

Manchester City have been without both Phil Foden and Oscar Bobb in recent weeks, but are set to have Savinho available for upcoming Premier League and UEFA Champions League fixtures.

The 20-year-old was pictured returning to first-team training at the City Football Academy this week, participating in a session alongside midfielder Matheus Nunes.

Manchester City return to action with a clash against Brentford this weekend, prior to starting the league-phase of their UEFA Champions League campaign against Inter Milan at the Etihad Stadium next Wednesday.
