A new report has detailed where Manchester City’s pursuit of a replacement for Pep Guardiola stands at present amid uncertainty over his future.

The Blues are navigating a cloud of doubt over Guardiola’s future at the Etihad Stadium as the Catalan approaches the final year of his current deal.

Guardiola has been heavily linked with an exit from the club at the end of the current campaign however, amid a growing belief in Premier League circles that the 55-year-old will part ways with City this summer.

Guardiola is expected to reveal his plans for next season in the coming weeks to progress negotiations with key transfer targets for the summer window, amid interest in Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali.
