Phil Foden extends Manchester City deal until 2030

Manchester City said on Wednesday that Phil Foden has signed a contract extension running to 2030, as expected.

The academy graduate has been with the first team since 2017, making 369 appearances and scoring 110 goals. He has 49 England caps and four goals.

Brought through by Pep Guardiola, he has won 20 trophies with City and was named player of the season in 2023-24.

The 26-year-old was less explosive this season but remained a regular, starting 33 of 50 matches.

That dip in form partly cost him a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad.

This campaign will also be his first at club level under a manager other than Guardiola, with Enzo Maresca in charge.
