Philadelphia Union and Colorado Rapids will go head-to-head in the Leagues Cup third place match to determine who will qualify for next season's Concacaf Champions Cup.
The Union fell 3-1 in their semi-final clash to reigning MLS Cup champions and Eastern Conference foes Columbus Crew. Daniel Gazdag found an equalizer roughly 30 minutes into the match, but Diego Rossi grabbed his second of the night just before halftime while Juan 'Cucho' Hernandez added a third early on in the second half to seal the deal for the Crew.
On the other side of the matchup, the Rapids were simply outclassed against LAFC, falling 4-0 at BMO Stadium. Despite having more possession, Colorado didn't manage to create too many chances to threaten Hugo Lloris' goal as Mateusz Bogusz, Kei Kamara, Denis Bouanga and Lewis O'Brien were all on the scoresheet for the hosts.
