Kalvin Phillips has today rejoined Sheffield United on a season-long loan.
Phillips, 30, was at Bramall Lane for the second half of the 2025/26 campaign after joining the Blades in February 2026.
Sadly the combative midfielder only played three games before sustaining a knee injury that kept him for the remainder of the season.
However, he is back in Yorkshire for a second spell after penning a deal for the 2026/27 term this afternoon.
Phillips made his name at Leeds United, playing for the Elland Road outfit over eight seasons.
He joined City in the summer of 2022 and made 21 appearances for the Blues in that debut campaign as we won the Treble.
The following season, he played 10 times for the club before joining West Ham United in January 2024 on loan for the remainder of that term.
At the start of the following season, he joined newly-promoted Ipswich Town for 2024/25.
Last season, he came on in City’s 2-0 third round League Cup success at Huddersfield Town at the Accu Stadium before linking up with the Blades.
Phillips has made 32 appearances for the Blues and scored one goal against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League campaign of 2023/24.
Everyone at City wishes Kalvin well during his time at Bramall Lane.
