Jadon Sancho has been spotted at the Amex ahead of Manchester United’s 12.30 kick-off vs Brighton and Hove Albion – despite being omitted from the matchday squad.

The 24-year-old was visible in the background of TNT Sports’ match coverage, during which Lisandro Martinez was taking part in a pre-game interview.

Sancho was also absent from last Friday’s Premier League opener at home to Fulham, with Erik ten Hag citing an ear infection as the reason he missed out.

However, a report from The Athletic revealed that while the illness may have contributed to the manager’s decision, it ultimately came down to his selection. The winger reportedly responded by ‘reaffirming his desire to leave’.

Reports in recent days have suggested that United are locked in talks with Juventus to try and hash out an agreement for the wantaway, whether that be on loan or through a loan with an obligation to buy deal.
