During the first half of last night’s game against Monza, the cameras picked up part of the away section emptying out and the reason has now been revealed.

As reported by MilanNews, the Curva Sud Milano left the away sector as a sign of protest. Despite there being no restrictions, about 50 ultras were left outside the stadium and news filtered through to those who had made it in.

Around 10 minutes into the game, the group decided to stage a mass walk-out, with that section of the stand being left unoccupied for the rest of the game. Milan would of course go on to win the game 1-0.
