A photo which will no doubt warm the hearts of Barcelona fans the world over has come to the fore online. This of course comes fresh off Spain sending France packing from the World Cup on Tuesday night.

A whole host of Barcelona stars featured in the fixture, with the majority having been lining out in the colours of La Roja.

All of Pau Cubarsí, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal featured from the off for Luis de la Fuente’s troops, before Pedri and Ferran Torres were introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.

The contributions of the Blaugrana contingent proved crucial in Spain ultimately emerging on the right side of a 2-0 result.

This also meant, though, that another member of Hansi Flick’s squad saw his World Cup dreams go up in smoke.

Jules Koundé was afforded his 7th successive starting berth by France national team boss Didier Deschamps yesterday evening. The former Sevilla man has been a consistent source of excellence throughout the international showpiece this summer.

Following the full-time whistle in Dallas, Barcelona teammate Pedri was therefore quick to console Koundé, with an emotional moment shared between the pair showcased in the photo below:
