The foundation behind every success story often begins far away from stadiums & cameras. For Lamine Yamal Barcelona’s teenage phenomenon, that foundation has always been his grandmother Fatima Nasraoui the woman he calls the most influential figure in his life.

A special appearance at Camp Nou

Fatima now 73 year old made the trip to Camp Nou to watch Barcelona face Athletic Club on the club’s emotional return to their historic home ground.

Wrapped in Barca scarf and smiling proudly, she watched from the stands as her grandson continued his meteoric rise.

The woman who raised superstar

Fatima moved from Morocco to Spain in 1990 and years later played central role in raising Lamine after his parents separated.

Yamal has spoken many times about the deep bond he shares with her describing her as constant source of warmth, discipline and strength.

From attending contract signings to joining him at global events including the Ballon d’Or ceremony .. Fatima has been beside him during the defining moments of his young career.
