The second round of group stage action began at the World Cup on Friday with action from groups A and B.
Here is how day six looked.
In the first game of the day, Iran took on Wales and their fans displayed a powerful message prior to kick-off before security removed it.
The game turned on one rash decision from Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who became the first player sent off at this tournament for this crude ‘tackle’.
And Iran made the most of their numbers advantage by pouncing with two extremely late goals for the victory.
And the ecstasy for Iran …
And they sent them hope happy thanks to a clinical 3-1 victory.
Qatar did at least give their fans something to savour with their first ever World Cup goal thanks to this Mohammed Muntari header.
In game three, Cody Gakpo netted the fastest goal of the tournament so far with a wonderful strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Spirits remained high though among the South Americans, with this Ecuador fan poking fun at their neighbours with this sign, asking ‘when do Chile play?’
And they were celebrating once again when talisman Enner Valencia took his tally at the tournament to three.
But the most concerning image of the day was when he exited on a stretcher with a knee issue.
A vicious strike against the crossbar from Christian Pulisic in the final game of the day between USA and England got things started.
Once again, Weston McKennie’s hair was a standout – as was his performance.
But it was a familiar theme come full-time.
And England fans did not view it as a point gained.
What will day seven have in store?
