Juventus are continuing to closely monitor the situation of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg at Olympique de Marseille, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Danish midfielder, who arrived at OM last summer, is said to be increasingly unsettled in the south of France. While Marseille have relied heavily on Højbjerg’s experience and leadership in midfield, the report claims that the former Tottenham Hotspur player would now be open to a departure should the right opportunity present itself.
Juventus have identified Højbjerg as a potential option to reinforce their midfield and are keeping a close eye on developments, although no formal approach has yet been made. The Turin club are understood to be weighing up several profiles. Neither OM nor Roberto De Zerbi are keen to part ways with Hojbjerg this January. An internal source at the French club, speaking to RMC Sport, have said that it is “out of the question” to sell the former Tottenham Hotspur man in January.GFFN | George Boxall
