Pjaca strikes after restart as FC Twente climb to ninth

FC Twente beat Cambuur 4-1 at Kooi Stadion, climbing from 12th to ninth in the Eredivisie as the hosts stayed 18th with four defeats from four.

Ruud Nijstad opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, rifling from range after Bart van Rooij's pass. Wout Weghorst doubled the lead (26.) from Joël Drommel's assist.

After the restart, Marko Pjaca made it three with a close-range finish (47.). Younes Taha added a fourth late on (82.) before Ilyès Hamache pulled one back from distance (88.).

Drommel also denied Fabian Kvam after the break, while Thijs Janssen made several stops to keep the score down.

Twente controlled the game, registering 23 attempts with 10 on target. Cambuur mustered 10 efforts, three on target, and spent long spells without the ball.
